Omega Plastics had the honor to participate in this year’s “Macomb County Manufacturing Day” held on Friday, October 5, 2018.  This event (sponsored by the Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development (MCPED) and the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD)) was put together to help expose, build interest, and encourage senior high school level students to get involved in the manufacturing trades.  This program is believed to be a critical step in the effort to ward off future workforce shortages.

The Omega Team hosted approximately 20 students from Anchor Bay High School, providing an in-depth education of the plastic injection molding process as well as the many different types of skilled trades required to perform in this marketspace.  The students were given a detailed, behind the scene tour of our facility and shown demonstrations on some of the specific trade careers our employees enjoy.
