QC-7® Aluminum

This is a high-strength aluminum alloy which is fully heat-treated and stress relieved. This alloy has outstanding thermal conductivity along with high strength and surface hardness and as such is suitable for polishing and texturing. All gauge tolerances are on the plus side of nominal. This alloy is suited for use in production injection molds, blow molds, structural foam molds, RIM molds, and aluminum die sets. It is weldable and highly machinable.

P20 Pre-Hardened Steel

P20 is a tool steel made specifically to fill the requirements for the machined cavities and forces used in zinc die casting and injection molding. It is delivered fully quenched and tempered to approximately Brinell 300. Other hardness levels may be obtained through additional heat treatment. P20's composition and structure provide excellent machining and polishing characteristics.

S7 Steel

This steel is known for its versatility over a wide range of applications. As a tooling steel, it has good hardening characteristics, stability, and machinability.

H13 Steel

While the properties of H13 are very similar to S7, there are some applications for which H13 is better suited. For instance, parts that require a high polish will fare better with H13 due to its chemical makeup.
